Cars that run on natural gas have many benefits. Most notably, NGVs burn cleaner. Now gasoline prices keep going up and we see how profitable it is to use gas as a transportation fuel. Natural gas equipment pays off in 20 thousand kilometers. It is preferable to other types of fuel for many things. For example, an increased combustion temperature reduces fuel consumption. The loaf on the automotive components decreases, the engine performance steps up and oil waste reduces.
In addition, the cylinder in which the gas is stored is designed for sufficiently high pressure and has a high safe-load factor. It excludes destruction in an accident, while ordinary fuel tanks are easily deformed, and spilled gasoline from them can cause ignition.
The worthwhileness of installing a gas pressure feed system is still debatable. The main point against it is that gas is considered explosive and has a strong unpleasant smell. The gas mixture is odorless, however, to detect leaks, it is odorized, i.e. injected with a specific odorant. Sometimes it gets inside the vehicle. Commonly, a gas leak from the muffler is the cause of the funky smell.
The use of the gas cylinder system differs from the traditional one. You just need to know the specifics of the gas and follow some guidelines. The most problematic moment is starting the engine. An injection engine is always started on petrol. A carburetor one has its own peculiarities. Start the car using gas in summer. In winter, especially before leaving the car for a long time, it is recommended to switch to gasoline as it will facilitate further engine starting.
